HeliRiviera is seeking a Helideck Safety Instructor & Training Coordinator to join our team delivering MCA-accredited helideck safety training and supporting helicopter operations across the global superyacht industry.
This role is based at our shore-side office at Cannes Mandelieu Airport (LFMD) and requires regular international travel.
Ideal Candidate Profile
We are targeting motivated maritime professionals who want to transition to a shore-side career track. We require practical knowledge and operational experience in superyacht aviation.
Candidates must have experience in the following areas:
- Helicopter operations on marine helidecks
- Helideck procedures and emergency response
- Aviation firefighting and helideck fire safety
- Helicopter refuelling operations and fuel quality management
- Delivering or assisting with practical training and assessments
- MCA-approved helideck safety standards
Core Responsibilities
The role balances active field training, international compliance management, and corporate development.
Field Training & Assessment (40%):
- Travel to superyachts and shipyards worldwide to deliver training.
- Deliver MCA-accredited Helideck Safety Training courses.
- Assess Helideck Assistant (HDA) and Helideck Landing Officer (HLO) candidates.
- Conduct facilities, operations, and outfitting reviews on vessels.
Administration & Compliance (40%):
- Manage documentation for our MCA quality management system.
- Verify student prerequisites before courses begin.
- Issue official training certificates to successful candidates.
- Coordinate travel schedules and logistics for our instructor pool.
Commercial Representation (20%):
- Foster direct relationships with Yacht Captains and management companies.
- Ensure quality and continuity of service across our range of services.
- Represent HeliRiviera internationally during client visits and corporate events.
Employment Terms and Remuneration
HeliRiviera invests in your professional growth. We fund your internal training to bring you up to certified MCA instructor status.
- Contract: Full-time CDD or CDI.
- Salary: €40,000 – €55,000 gross per annum (dependent on experience).
- Tools: Corporate laptop and smartphone setup.
- Travel: 100% of international travel expenses are covered by the company.
